Dr. Edward Dalland, Jr.
Hospital director, Dr. Edward Dalland, Jr. has owned and operated Capitaland Animal Hospital since 1994. Over the years, the positive feedback and expressions of satisfaction which Dr. Dalland and his staff have received from their clients, have made their work all the more rewarding and worthwhile.
Dr. Dalland began his academic career at the State University Agricultural and Technical Institute in Farmingdale, NY, where he graduated with honors and received an Associate Degree in Animal Science in 1962. Following graduation, he was admitted to Cornell University's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and was awarded his BS Degree in Animal Science in 1965. While at Cornell, his academic achievements frequently earned him a place on the university's Dean's List.
During his junior year at Cornell, Dr Dalland was admitted to the New York State College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University. After 4 years of studies, he received his DVM Degree in 1968.
Even with his busy practice, Dr. Dalland finds time for hobbies and outside activities. He has received a Recognition Award for his work with The Seeing Eye (A Seeing Eye Dog group) and received the Service Award from the Long Island Veterinary Medical Society. His non-veterinary activities include woodworking, construction and design, gardening, nature walks and reading.
Dr. Dalland is married to Lynette, a licensed communications / language disorders specialist, who enjoys cooking and traveling. Most of all Dr. and Mrs. Dalland enjoy spending time with their 2 daughters, 2 sons, 2 dogs and 2 cats.
