As a new client of our Veterinary Hospital in Latham, NY, you can expect our full attention to your pets’ needs.

Arrival

When you arrive for your appointment, you will be greeted warmly, and we’ll usher you into an examination room after checking in your pet.

Medical History

In most cases, one of our veterinary technicians will start by asking about your pet’s medical history, current condition and the reason for your visit, gathering data for the doctor.

Check Up

Then, one of our veterinarians will thoroughly examine your pet, perhaps asking you further questions for clarification. Depending upon the reason for your visit, your veterinarian may recommend diagnostic or health screening tests. She will also make recommendations for preventive health or design a treatment plan that our veterinary technicians will review with you. An estimate can be provided to help you make decisions for your pet’s health care.

Questions

During your pet’s examination is a great time to ask questions. Our veterinary team wants to make sure you’re completely comfortable with the information we’re providing.

Wrap Up

Once your examination is finished, our receptionists will process your payment and in some cases will schedule a medical progress exam to assess your pet’s response to treatment. In ALL cases, we follow up with you after EVERY visit, whether you came in for a wellness visit or because your pet was ill.

Please note: Our goal is to see all our clients and patients on time, and although we have contingencies for emergencies, there will be times where the unexpected will create delays. We will ensure these are minimized as much as possible.
