We recommend routine fecal examinations of your pet to look for intestinal parasites. The most common parasites include hookworms, roundworms, whipworms giardia and coccidia. Intestinal parasites are very common in puppies and kittens but can also be found in adult dogs.
Intestinal parasite treatment may include as little as one to two doses of dewormer or a prolonged course of oral medication. Each intestinal parasite has its own unique treatment requirements.
