Ziggy Star is a seal at the Mystic Aquarium that had developed seizures and was found to have hydrocephalus, an increase of fluid in the brain. She underwent surgery to place a shunt to move fluid from her brain to her abdomen so the pressure doesn’t build up. Mystic Aquarium will be airing 8 episodes of ‘Aquarium Rehab’, showcasing animals in need and the professionals who take care of them.
